Per its official blog post, the remastered edition will feature updated textures, models, effects, shaders, and technical features across all three titles. Casey Hudson, vice president of Bioware, says that its goal wasn’t to “remake or reimagine the original games”, but rather to reinvigorate the original experience that got fans hooked in the first place.

Of course, and this should go without saying, remastering the games means that all three titles will be optimised for 4K UHD resolutions. As for when you’ll be able to play it, Bioware says that it will launch Mass Effect Legendary Edition sometime in the spring of 2021, barring any delays or unseen circumstances.
