The GSW-H1000 features G-Shock’s familiar rugged aesthetic, with shock-resistance and 200-meter water resistance. Display-wise, the new watch comes with a dual-layer 1.2-inch 360×360 px TFT LCD Color display with touchscreen and Always-On capabilities. Also onboard are five different sensors including an accelerometer, gyrometer, GPS, pressure sensor for measuring air pressure and altitude, and also an optical PPG Heart Rate sensor.

Its battery, as Casio claims, is able to last up to approximately 1.5 days when used normally and roughly one month when in Multi Timepiece Mode, where the only active components are timekeeping and sensors. The new G-Shock smartwatch is charged via a magnetic charging terminal, which takes approximately 3 hours for a full charge.

Powered by Wear OS, the GSW-H1000 supports a variety of smart features such as alerts and notifications, navigation, Google Assistant, and so on. In terms of fitness related functions, the G-Shock comes with 24 indoor workout options and 15 different activities including running, swimming and extreme sports.

The new Casio G-Shock GSW-H1000 smartwatch is offered in red, black and blue colour options. It will retail at US$ 700 (~RM 2,900) and is slated to ship out later this year in mid-May. The watch’s expected pricing and availability in Malaysia are unconfirmed at this time, however.

Speaking of local releases, Casio recently launched a special Harimau Malaya limited edition of its G-Shock GA-2000-1A9 watch – decorated in a black and yellow colour theme, along with Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) branding. This model will be available locally in June, retailing at RM 579. (Source: Casio [1] [2])
