Facebook themselves, have, via a tweet, confirmed the issues, and have ruled out a DDOS attack on their services.
— Facebook (@Facebook) March 13, 2019 Users across the globe have also been flooding Twitter feeds with similar issues on two other Facebook-owned services, Instagram and Whatsapp. While neither service was experiencing a full-blown outage like Facebook, many were unable to perform basic functions like logging into their accounts on Instagram or posting comments. While Whatsapp messages seem to be unaffected at the moment, users are having intermittent issues with sending files across the popular messaging app.
