These new sectors were approved by the Cabinet from a list that was compiled by a special committee which was based on recommendations made by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Ministry of Finance (MoF), Khazanah Nasional, and Bank Negara:

Other than that, selected sections of the automotive industry such as automotive parts and components, CBU exports, and after-sales services will soon be allowed to operate during MCO. Alongside full-service launderettes, barbers are also allowed to provide haircuts during MCO. However, all these sectors must follow the strict health and safety guidelines from the Ministry of Health while their operational times are determined by the respective local governments.
