Windows Central reports that, specifically, the Microsoft Surface Duo will be released on the week of 24 August. That’s effectively the last full week of next month. That said, the release window is not yet set in stone, so it’s still subject to change within this one-month window.

— Zac Bowden (@zacbowden) July 29, 2020 The Surface Duo has also passed through the US FCC last week. It’s not a firm indication that the Android device will be released in a short while, but it’s usually one of the last steps a device goes through in the US before it is sold there. Of course, there may be a delay between when the device is launched in the US and when it will be available elsewhere. The Microsoft Surface Duo was, at a time, rumoured to be launched ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. And more recently, reports indicated that its Android operating system would be made in-house. But with this report, it looks like the former won’t be happening after all. (Source: Windows Central)
