The new camera is a mirrorless Micro Four Thirds model which features a 20MP Live MOS sensor, paired with Olympus’ TruePic VIII processor. With this, the OM-D E-M10 Mark IV is capable of delivering improved autofocus (AF) tracking, Face and Eye detection AF, and continuous shooting of up to 15fps.

Further enhancing the experience is a 5-axis in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) system with up to 4.5 stops of shake reduction for telephoto imaging, and video recording. Video-wise, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV is capable of recording 4K footage up to 30p, and Full HD up to 60p.

The camera includes a 2.36M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, and a flip-down 3-inch LCD touchscreen for vlogging or selfies. Other than that, it also features USB charging support and built-in WiFi for easy image sharing to smartphones or other compatible devices. Being a camera that allows for interchangeable lenses, the E-M10 Mark IV supports all Micro Four Thirds OM-System lenses.

The new Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV will be available in September and in two colour options: Black and Black & Silver. It is priced at USD700 (~RM2,942) body-only, and USD800 (~RM3,362) when bundled together with a M. Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm f/3.5 – 5.6 EZ lens.

A listing of the camera has appeared on Olympus Malaysia’s official website and Facebook page, but its local release date and pricing has not been revealed at this time.
