This is because not all 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro is able to support the display, as pointed out on Apple’s website: This means you need to obtain the variants with 10th Gen Intel Core chip if you planning to hook up the notebook to the Pro Display XDR because the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro variants with 8th Gen Intel Core chip comes with only two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
In Malaysia, the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro variant with 10th Gen Intel Core chip comes with a starting price of RM 7,999. At this moment, the notebook is still not yet available through Apple Malaysia’s website though.
