Reading the paragraph, it’s indeed very similar to what Twitter added to its service. If YouTube thinks you’re about to post an offensive comment, a prompt will appear asking you to think if you really mean what you typed. The company acknowledges that it will not be able to catch every offensive comment. And if your comment violates community guidelines, it may still ultimately be removed.

Like before, the definition of offensive comment isn’t exactly clear. But at the very least there is a chance for offensive comments to be removed either way if they go against YouTube rules. For now though, this feature is still an experiment on the platform. There’s no mention as to when it goes live, or which users will actually see the prompt. Of course, don’t go intentionally typing something offensive that you don’t mean just to see if it has gone live just yet.
